The Importance of Keyword Research

If you aren’t doing proper keyword research before you build and expand your web design, you are taking a stab in the dark at your pages becoming popular. Just writing on your niche isn’t enough, you need to be spending time researching and discovering the best keywords to target.

The basic premise of keyword research involves finding keywords that have:

1. A reasonable amount of searches per day/month
2. A reasonably low amount of competition on the internet for that specific phrase.

I highly suggest and recommend using Matt’s Free Keyword Tool to do your keyword research. You can download it for free here:

You basically want to avoid two problematic areas:

1. Keywords with too much competition (you would not be able to rank high enough)

The Importance of The Domain

Choosing a good domain name for your web design is very important. It is the name for your business! I would strongly suggest not rushing into a domain name, and taking your time to brainstorm a few possibilities.

A few things to keep in mind when thinking about domain names include:

Domain Name Tips

Com is the best extension
Make it easy to remember
Make it represent the content of your website
Short names are best (when possible)
Stay away from numbers and hyphens
Keep the potential for branding in mind

Web Design Launch – Inner revolution

Today we launched a really interesting site. It combines great web design of MultiAdaptor with some really cool gadgets and plug ins. Search Engine Basics

Before we start tackling SEO, I would like to first talk a bit about how search engines work fro your web design. It is very important that we understand this, because SEO is essentially all about doing what we can to please the search engines.

Search engines basically gather data about every and any website they can find. Search engines send out little helpers called spiders that crawl the net, and store information about everything that they find. The search engines then rank the websites in order of importance, based on a variety of factors.

They also penalize and reward websites, based on what they find.

Important factors include:

Number and quality of backlinks
Freshness of content
Uniqueness of content
Authority status
Age

Web Design Launch – Coffee Fairy.

This project has been one of the most enjoyable and rewarding that I can remember. We have built the logo brand and the website around the vision of Martina (founder) and the drawings of a 13 year old. The Roald Dahl style artwork has lead on to all kind of cartoonery representing the product and simplifying the company message through illustration.

The Coffee Fairy concept is to promote and sell coffee bought direct from independent farming communities and thus benefitting the community itself. A genuine social entrepeneur The Coffee Fairy gives back a percentage of every sale to help children of the farming communities through school. A brilliant and truly benevolant idea… the coffee is amazing too.

The website is a simple clean layout bursting with colours, texture and different media such as Video. Our digital cameras scanners and printers have never been so busy.

Fino Web Design Launch!

Well with a few late nights we have launched the new Fino website design a day early. The emphasis for this web design was simplicity with emphasis on the photography taken within the restaurant. We can’t wait for Fino to start producing the recipe of the week blog so that we can subscribe and chance our arms with gourmet home cooking.

Aruna Seth ecommerce web launch

Today we launched a new website design for Aruna Seth, an up and coming high end shoe designer. Catering for the Sex and the City elite with lots of diamonds, lots of sparkle and amazing shoe design the ranges feature in countless fashion magazines such as Vogue & Tatler.

The website incorporates the Juno CMS (Content Management System) with our ecommerce plug in allowing total freedom to the client for content generation and product sales.

Barrafina web design launch!

Quo Vadis Website Launch

A website in a week just in time for the web design Launch of Quo Vadis in Soho. This exclusive members club is going to take London by storm, we have already heard Gordon Ramsay on the radio talking about it!

The website design is understated simplicity with a powerful WordPress blog driven underbelly. The site will soon be furnished with great photography (when the paint is dry and the photographer has been in). Scheduled features to be added include lots of blog driven bells and whistles to build the Quo Vadis community online and help with search engine performance.

Big thanks to Steve and Joanna at Quo Vadis for preparing all the content well in advance and to Jamie our lead developer for forgoing sleep to meet the deadline.
