Setting up a Linking Structure – Part 2

When a search engine spider finds your website, you will want to make sure that you make it easy for them to find all of the additional pages that you have created. This is done by making sure that you have an effective linking structure.

It is a good idea to have a sitemap, which is a single page which has a link to every single page on your web design. You will want to make sure that a link to the sitemap is visible on every single page on your site.

You don’t have to make the sitemap link very blatant, as it is not really intended for your human visitors, but the search engines. Effective Use of Header Tags

As you start to write the actual content of each page you create, you will have an opportunity to use header tags. Header tags essentially tell the search engines what the most important part of the page is.

You will want to take great care to make sure you are using header tags appropriately. To create a header tag, just enclose whatever phrase you choose with the following tags:

<h1>Web Design</h1>

You can also use varying levels of header tags throughout your post, changing the number from 1‐5. You will only want to use “1” once, but can use the others to varying degrees. I wouldn’t suggest getting carried away though!

You will want to make sure that you are enclosing the keywords that you want to rank for in your header tags. Are you starting to see a pattern here?

We are proud to announce the launch of Cquestrate. This is not just another website but a scientific idea that aims to save the world from global warming. The website offers an open source solution to CO2 in the air and invites others to contribute in order to solve the issue.

The theory centres around a chemical reaction involving heated limestone and sea water that absorbs carbon dioxide.

Web Illustration

Check out the latest design work of our illustrator Richard. We started designing humorous 404 pages for our websites but now we are producing hand drawn illustration for our client websites, leaflets and all things print.

Design starts with brainstorming and hand drawn sketch concepts which are developed into High resolution vector artwork that can be easily adapted, applied and reused. Richard is currently working hard designing a super hero brand icon for an organisation that looks after young carers…. watch this space to see the results.

Welcome Flash Aaron

Following a brief trial period a new developer fondly named ‘Flash Aarron’ joins the Juno team. With greater demand for flash animation and in particular the inclusion of video on many of our sites we needed a specialist. Our New Article Directory

As a lot of our regular readers will have noticed i have been a liitle quiter than usual with posting on the blog. This is due to working on getting our latest addition to the Juno range. I am pleased to announce the launch of  Juno Articles.

We will also soon be launching Junomarks.com a social bookmarking website. Any way back to the subject of this news post. Juno Articles is a free to submit article directory using a modified version of wordpress 2.7.

Any body is welcome to post there articles and include one link within the article back to there web design. So what are you waiting for register with Juno Articles and start submitting your articles.
