Establishing Controliss as a key player in the industry

The team here at Juno have been working with the luxury blinds retailer, Controliss to improve their brand identity and increase awareness of the company and its products.
Controliss sell high quality blinds in a range of styles varying from classic roman blinds to slim and sleek venetians. They have a style to suit everyone and every room, whether you need a vertical blind to cover large patio doors, or a roller blind for your baby’s nursery. All of their blinds and curtain tracks are powered by motors that run on batteries or electric mains. You can now open and close your blinds with a remote control, or have them connected to your home automation system. As well as providing luxury control over your blinds, remote control blinds are much safer to have in your home as there are no manual draw cords, which are considered a safety hazard.
Our overall target has been to establish Controliss as a key player in the home furnishings industry, using specific internet marketing techniques to drive more traffic to the site and increase sales. Last year our web design experts re-designed the Controliss website, to give it a fresh new look, that was more fitting for the home furnishings industry. At first the colours used on the site and logo were much too noisy and bright, they needed tuning down to much calmer colours that reflected the high quality, luxurious products that Controliss sell. The site now features high quality images of each blind, along with unique product descriptions.
As well as changing the colour scheme and branding of the site, the web developers also had to make alterations to the structure of the site, to make it both more user-friendly and more search engine friendly. The site now runs much faster and provides an efficient and pleasant purchasing process for customers. Using the top e-commerce software, Magento, the team implemented conversion elements, in hope to turn more of Controllis’s traffic into actual sales.
Search engine growth is also a key element to the internet marketing strategy. This involved focussing on particular keywords and their rankings on search engines like Google. Currently Controliss are positioned third for the keywords ‘electric blinds’ and have second page results for ‘wood blinds’ and ‘vertical blinds’ showing just how much has been achieved in such a little time.
