Smith & Morris has just benefited from our high-impact way of thinking, with their brand new site boasting striking pictures, snappy captions and unmistakable style to deliver the necessary impact.
Smith & Morris is the leading retailer of the Barbour brand in the UK, supplying top-quality products to customers across the country. They’re an award-winning company with an impressive pedigree and currently run the official Barbour mail order site, but they’re beginning a new phase of their journey. They’re phasing out Barbour By Mail to concentrate on Smith & Morris, offering customers a wider choice of brands and products, and that meant they needed a site that could appeal to loyal shoppers whilst attracting the attention of a whole new audience. That’s where we came in.
We knew we had to create a site that was visually impressive whilst maintaining a distinctive sense of style, with the brand being quintessentially British and proud of it. We think we’ve managed to achieve it. We’ve used high-impact images with attention-grabbing captions, and we’ve utilised the same style across the site to ensure consistency. We happen to think it works pretty well, but of course, we realise that there’s more to it than looks – that’s why we’ve worked hard to ensure Smith & Morris have got a site that’s as usable and easy to navigate as it is pleasing to look at, and because they’ll be growing their product range we made sure it was full of backend functionality to keep it simple for everyone concerned.
