Magento

"We utilise pre built and bespoke custom development, to give our clients unbeatable functionality and value"

Magento in short, is the best piece of ecommerce software available online for online shops and stores. Every major web magazine, online publication and important developer says so. The website and stock management  functionality is stable, useable and far reaching in its capability. We can push the boundaries of the system and magento plugin development to provide you with exactly what you want, tailored for your e-commerce website.

All the reports and sales data you’ll ever need

From the ability to view your sales over a certain period right down to the ability to see which products perspective customers have placed in their carts and then not bought. Magento has over fifteen different report screens for you to take a look at in your search for more statistics about your website.

Search Engine Opimisation

Magento allows you to personally manage each product’s URL, META tags, page title and description. Each category, page and store on the site can be fully controlled. You can also automatically generate sitemaps or pages with your most popular search terms on them.

Google Base, Google Sitemaps, Google Analytics

All of these services are integrated directly with the system to easily inform Google of your new products for Google Base indexing, Pages/URL’s for Google search indexing and easy statistics inclusion for installation of Google Analytics and tracking of sales against traffic on your website.

Filterable navigaton

Filterable navigation gives your customers the ability to drill down through several filters in order to reach the set of products they want to look at. Take as an example: Your customer select shoes, then £50‐100, then black. Each time your customer sees the products that are a result of the filters they have applied and can drop any one of these filters at any time.

Create groups of products for big sells

Easily create other products that are groups of others to sell multiple products at once in a package. For example selling bathrooms from existing stock.

Automatic importing of up to the minute current currency rates

Magento will import currency exchange rates for all your currencies that you choose to support every few minutes to ensure that the prices on your website are accurate. You can also do this manually or set‐up new currencies in minutes.

Cart/checkout rules

You’re able to define any number of price discounts, coupons or rules for pricing across the site for complete control over how you sell your products.

Easy replication

Once the core site is built we will be able to easily replicate the existing site to create other online stores with the same functionality and layout to increase your reach online and further enhance your brand. We offer this service at a 50% discount for future sites.

Cross‐sells, up‐sells and related items

These are all supported side‐displays of products in Magento for use on your site should you want to deploy them. They help boost your sales and boost the amount of products the customer is being exposed too.

Wishlists and send to a friend

The customer on your site can create their own wishlist of products that they want to buy on your site for later use. They can also share this wishlist with friends should they want to, so their friends can buy them the products from their wishlist. On top of this you can allow users to send any product on the site to their friends via a simple form.

Image zooming, multiple image display and watermarking

Give your users the ability to zoom in on your product images and see your products right down to the nitty gritty details. In addition to this you can display multiple images and have them change on the page as users select certain options. If you want your brand everywhere and are careful about not having your images stolen, Magento can automatically place your logo or any other image directly in the corner of your images to protect them.

Mass import/export of product and customer data

Products and stock can be imported simply into the back‐end of the website to ensure your in store stock levels match those of the online store. Simply inform us of the internal system you have and if it exports as CSV, we should be able to set you up with a system to easily update your online stock levels.

Create configurable products

Allow users to configure their products as they are purchasing them. From colour, to size down to anything you want your products to be configured by.

Allow users to tag and review your products

Users can easily review and tag your products to generate more user interaction on your site. Create tag clouds from this data, and average review scores for products on your site. Both reviews and tags can be managed through the Magento administration system.

Mark stock as inactive, or keep them active when sold out

Display your stock as out of stock when you don’t have any left, or simply the product off altogether with a few clicks. Keeping it in your database for future editing should you want to.

  • After really getting stuck into the nuts and bolts of Magento today, it is becoming more clear how useful and and structured Magento is. As time goes on I think the system will make more sense and will become a more efficient way of developing e-commerce websites. One of the major challenges that I have faced so far is the templating system of Magento. It is different to systems I have used in the past but makes a lot more sense in the fact that everything fits together the way it should. You can really see that Magento has been clearly thought out and developed in a way that helps the system fit together nicely.I will be making regular posts about my progress with Magento and how I am using it at [...]

I have just started here at Juno Web Design and already I can see a great deal of Wordpress and Magento development going on. Something which I too hope to pick up whilst i’m here. It has become clear that Content Management Systems seem to be very popular for website development at the moment and the fact they can be customised to their needs is important.I hope to be very involved with new Magento and Wordpress sites over the next few months and hope that my development here at Juno Web Design in Nottingham will really help my career and Juno develop into something great.I will be posting more about my development here at Juno Web Design in Nottingham soon and hope you will come back to read it.
