Traffic Generation Part 20 – Pay Per Click Advertising (PPC)

There is no substitute for pay per click advertising (PPC). If you want to drive a huge amount of traffic to your site immediately, and have the money, it will certainly accomplish that. You just need to make sure you don’t lose your shirt in the process!

[WPMID=1] advertising occurs when you pay one of the search engines to show an ad for your site in the paid section of the search results. Many people have had success with PPC, though most people fail. I would suggest that if you are just starting out you stay away from PPC until you know a bit more about how to sell to your niche.

Once you are more established, and familiar with what keywords will convert well for you, investing in PPC is a natural progression.

Pay per click advertising is a fantastic way to get a ton of traffic to your site. Unfortunately its not free, but i wanted to mention it because people that do have money its a way that you can get immediate traffic.

In some of the other things that i have mentioned it can be quite a bit of work to get traffic but this is more of a minimal type of work but it does cost money.

Pay per click is say for example you go to google and you type dog training you see that you get the search results but you also get the ads here. What you can do is you can bid on specific phrases and however much you bid is going to be how high your ad is.

So of course it can result in an awful lot of traffic but it can also result in a fantastic loss, if you don’t want ppc i am going to be honest with you it can be very brutal and if you don’t know what you are doing you can get in there bidding on the wrong words, words that are not going to convert into sales you can literally watch your wallet shrink and shrink.

So i strongly recommend that if you want to check it out its beyond the scope of this video to show you what to do but if your serious about it then pick up a guide on ppc. Im going to suggest to you that you check out the top search engines they would be Google Adwords, Yahoo Search Marketing and Msn adcenter those are the three top ones and they represent something like 90% of all the traffic on the Internet.

Of course there are a ton of smaller ones too like 7search that some people rave about and say they make a lot of money and some people say they don’t work out because a lot of the traffic is fraudulent clicks.

So just to prove it out there check it out if you have the money and want to get some immediate traffic to your site but i urge you to be careful, and what i like to do is i like to build my sites and get free traffic and find out through there where people are buying then i can ppc that. I don’t like to lose the money upfront some people do it the reverse way they spend there money on ppc to see where the money is then build a site around that you can do it either way but ppc is something worth considering.
