Prepare for the post-Christmas rush
Happy Christmas! Hopefully you’re having a well-deserved break from work with a bit of festive overindulgence, but that doesn’t mean you don’t want to learn something new. Well, here at Juno Web Design we’ve got it covered. We want to help businesses make the most of the festive season and if you’re in the ecommerce arena a lot of that comes down to being prepared for the rush of sales-mad shoppers, so make sure to get organised and you could get the interest you want.
First up, you’ll want to make sure your shopping cart system is as easy to use as possible with any glitches being properly tested and solved before the rush hits. Customers expect a great shopping experience and if they can’t place orders easily and efficiently they’ll soon head elsewhere, and considering the amount of competition you don’t want that to be even a remote possibility. Make sure your software packages are spot-on (or get in touch if you’re after a bit of advice), and always ensure your products are clearly displayed and easily sourced.
You’ll want to make sure your multi-channel operations are working together as well. With everyone using different devices you need to offer a consistent experience across all of them, and that means responsive web design should be the only option. Your core values need to be properly integrated across every channel so your visitors get the same experience when shopping online as they do in-store, with an effective web design being key.
Of course, you should ideally be offering special offers to make the most of all those bargain-hungry shoppers, and you’ll want to include a separate sales page for this very reason. It should be in the same style as the rest of your site but needs to stand out even more, perhaps by using a different coloured font for its tab or by incorporating an additional banner on the homepage, doing everything you can to tempt shoppers to part with their hard-earned cash.
A bit of preparation and a few tweaks could be all it takes to prepare for the post-Christmas rush, so make sure your site is up to scratch and you can make the most of the festive spending spree with full force. Apart from that, enjoy the rest of your day!
